8 Great Ways To Increase Blog Traffic

Search Engine Optimized Content & Site

Search engine optimization is going to be one of the best ways to increase blog traffic. The higher you rank in search engines, the more traffic you will get, so it is important to optimize everything possible. There are plenty of different ways you can optimize your blog and the content that you post. This method of traffic will require you to learn a lot of techniques and doesn’t become effective overnight.

It requires you to invest a good amount of time before you start to see great results. Although it takes some time, once you start to see your rankings increase, your blog will be well on its way to becoming a success.

Target a Specific Audience

Before you start posting more content, you need to make sure you have a target audience that you are writing for. If you know who you are trying to attract, you will be able to create content that appeal to them the most. Different audiences don’t like the same type of content, so you need to make sure that the stuff you are creating will have them coming back for more.

Paid Advertising

Paid advertising is an incredible way to increase blog traffic. It is especially effective if your blog is brand new and you need to give it a boost in traffic. There are many different paid advertising programs that are available to you. One of the most commonly used ways is a pay per click program. You get to set up and advertisement and then pay every time someone clicks on it. Depending on what keywords you choose to target, will determine how much each click will cost.

You can also use social media programs, pay per impression programs, and plenty more. If you don’t mind spending some money to advertise your blog, you will get some targeted traffic that will get your blog off the ground.

You can even advertise here to get more and more traffic at affordable price.

Ensure All of Your Pages are Being Indexed

Sometimes search engines won’t index your blog right away, so you should make sure that they are. Like I previously mentioned, search engine traffic is one of the best ways to get your blog successful. Each search engine allows you to submit your site to them so they can easily crawl your site and index it. You should make sure to do this with every major engine.

You can also use Google Webmaster Tools to send a spider to crawl your site and report back to you with any errors you may have.

  • How to Get Index Your New Blog Post Super Fast

Create the Best Content you Possibly Can

If you want to increase blog traffic to your site, then you are going to need to make sure that the content you are creating is worth it. People won’t come back or recommend your blog to their friend and family if your content is mediocre. Since there are so many bloggers out there, our readers are used to consuming excellent content.

If your content doesn’t keep them interested enough, then you can expect them to just leave for another blog that creates something better.

  • How To Really Write Killer Blog Posts To Attract More Visitors?

Don’t Post Irrelevant Content

A big mistake that will cut your traffic down would be to post content that has nothing to do with your current niche. Plenty of blogs have ruined their chances at success because they drove all of their loyal viewers away and never kept their blog about a specific niche.

If you start posting about random things, your loyal viewers will most likely not stay since they originally came to view content about your niche. The traffic that you attract with the random content won’t stay since the rest of your content isn’t relevant to what they want to see. Just keep all of your content relevant to your niche and you will see much more traffic. In this way you can easily Increase Blog Traffic Fast.

Keep Consistent With Your Posts

You should come up with a regular time that you post to your audience. If your readership know when to expect your next post, they will be more willing to read it as soon as possible.

You should never go a long period of time without posting something because people will eventually just forget your blog even exists, which will obviously reduce your traffic. Come up with a schedule and stick to it. You can Increase Your Blog Traffic in this way.

Use Social Media to Your Advantage

Social media can be used in so many different ways. You can use it to increase blog traffic, help brand your blog, increase authority, and much more. You should be using social media to enhance all aspects of your blog.

The only thing you should be aware of is that it can be just as bad for your blog if you don’t manage it correctly. Posting something offensive, not responding to comments, and plenty of thing things can give your blog a bad image and hurt your reputation. If you plan to use social media, make sure to properly manage it to get as many benefits as you can.

Increasing traffic to your blog  may take some time and hard work, but if you are determined enough, you will have no problem being successful with it.

Using these 8 tips will definitely get you headed in the right direction, and as time goes by you will figure out new ways that will be more beneficial to your specific blog.

If you think about it, website traffic is a system.

    It has inputs and outputs.

The inputs are time and money.

I assume you don’t have millions to invest.

In the case of time, you have to choose how to spend it.

I love blog and forum commenting, so I do lots of it.

It helps me improve as a writer.

It forces me to be extremely concise and to-the-point.

I also use a technique I call the 95/5/5 rule:

95% = blog and forum commenting
5% = writing, editing, publishing, sharing and syndicating my posts
    5% guest posts

My best opportunities come from blog and forum commenting, and it’s a strategy that will work in any industry or niche where there’s blogs that accept comments on article .

It’s perhaps the most overlooked marketing strategy right now in terms of actual effectiveness in driving increasing amounts of highly targeted organic traffic to your web site.

Here are more ideas for increasing your organic web site traffic:

    Great post Ness,

    Impressed by your writing flow.

100% agreed with “Target a Specific Audience” which simply is equal to finding NICHE an ya creating best possible high quality content is all about blogging as content is still KING. Most of new bloggers read less and focus on writing more and more without realizing people will not gonna love their words.

BTW you forgot to write something on guest blogging which is most hot topic even for new birds out there on blogosphere :)

Anyways keep posting this kinda cool stuff.

    Hello Ness,

I was really within the middle of associate SEO audit for a shopper after I stumbled across this. It’s extremely amazing to possess everything blog connected, insta-bookmarked it for future reference.

If attainable, since it’s a reasonably long post, daring out therefore me necessary words/phrases so viewers will “get the gist” not with standing they merely skim through the article.

Definitely a remarkable and profitable article to browse. i’ll advocate it to any or all my customers doing their SEO themselves or to convert all those that don’t extremely care concerning SEO.

Thanks for golf shot this together!
    Keep it up.

Yep, good beginners tips. Basically I’d recommend adhering to Google’s updates, too, and using Google+ as your central communication hub. Personally, as I hate Facebook, this is a bonus! The Hummingbird and YouTube upgrades (which you’ll see when you visit the comments section) require a new approach to blogging, so boosting your Google Authorship will be a big help.

Search engines and social media are the two things that I always go after when I am trying to increase traffic on my blog. Search engine optimization guarantees you new visitors while social media helps in building a loyal reader base.
So you should never ignore these two things to increase blog traffic. Rest of the tips can also help but I prefer these two over others.
What do you say about my approach?

I do agree with everything you have written Ness, but I have my reservation of “posting irrelevant content”. There is no rule that say multi-niche blog don’t succeed and what you call irrelevant could be a potential life saver to someone else.

I think if you can pilot of blog perfectly well, you won’t fall into problems. Having feed subscription by category should also work so does who love a niche get updated only when there is something new to write about.

Overall, nice tips you got here friend and do have a nice day.

Hello; thanks for another excellent post. Under the area of social media i thought maybe you should have mentioned joining relevant groups on these sites. and I didn’t see anything about blog commenting or sharing other people’s posts. I must admit I have never thought seriously about paying for clicks for my site or blog. But then I never had the funds to consider that option. One thing I will recommend is that whenever you post on social media or reply to other people’s posts try to find a way to include a link to your site or one of its pages or posts. This way the big corporate social media site doesn’t get all the benefits of your hard work in building a community and creating content. I subscribe to the philosophy that my goal at the midway marketplace is just like a carnival midway or a super market you want to get them in there and keep them there as long as possible. smile thanks again and take care, max

Tip No 5 “Create the Best Content you Possibly Can” is the most practical tip I ever received so far. It stresses how practical one should be while writing a post. Most bloggers facing writing block because they want to write a post equal to the level of Jon Morrow or Darren Rowse. In their attempt they miserably fail and make their post a laughing stock. So one should write the best post he possibly can by fully putting his all skills and expertise to produce a great post.
